Phishing is the practice of sending fraudulent e-mail messages to addresses requesting them to supply confidential information; “Pharming” is the practice of redirecting users to fraudulent sites to capture their username/pin logon, or other personal information. Typically, the information requested includes a request for account or credit card numbers, passwords, PINs, Social Security numbers or other personal identifying information.
